Anna Leonowens Gallery

To see what’s up and coming in the art world, head for the Anna Leonowens Gallery in downtown Halifax.

It’s part of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD), with regularly changing exhibitions of student art.

Sometimes faculty members and visiting artists also contribute to the gallery, which was named after NSCAD’s founder, the same woman who starred in film and theatre productions of the The King and I.

The Anna Leonowens Gallery is near the Historic Properties and the pedestrian Granville Mall.
