For a fun night out in Halifax, it’s hard to beat the Grafton Street Dinner Theatre.
The theatre company has been turning out musical comedies since 1987 with a cast of actors who are masters of doing many things at a time.
They perform around your table, play music and still manage to remain in character to serve your meal.
Start with seafood chowder, then move on to steak, salmon or chicken and finish up with apple crisp or a piece of cheesecake.
Tickets cost about $50 for adults – not bad for a 3-course meal and an evening’s entertainment.
Shows run 3-6 times a week, from Tuesday to Sunday. Curtains open at 6:45pm and the performance lasts about 3 hours. The box office is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm and Saturday from noon to 5pm.
