Here are details on a few of Wolfville’s main attractions.

  • WATCH THE CHIMNEY SWIFTS
The Robie Tufts Nature Centre on Front Street is home to chimney swifts. The birds migrate to Wolfville from Peru in the summer and near sunset on summer evenings you can see them swoop into the chimney for the night. The nature centre also offers information on local wildlife.
  • WALK ALONG THE DYKES
Waterfront Park on Front Street offers views over the mudflats and centuries-old dykelands, built by the Acadians. You can start a longer walk or bike ride over the dykes from here.
  • ART GALLERIES
    Wolfville
is the home of Alex Colville, one of Nova Scotia’s most famous artists. Explore the art of the area at The Harvest Gallery and the Acadia University Art Gallery.
  • FARMER’S MARKET
The Wolfville Farmer’s Market happens every Saturday, with food, crafts and live music from 8:30am to 1pm. It’s outside the Robie Tufts Nature Centre on Front Street in the summer. In October, the market moves a few blocks away to the Acadia University Student Union building.
  • RANDALL HOUSE MUSEUM
This 200-year-old home overlooks the duck pond in Willow Park. There are period rooms to explore and a variety of local treasures ranging from furniture to old tools, glassware and photographs. It’s open from June to September. Admission is $2.
  • GARDENS
Flower and plant enthusiasts can stroll for free through the Botanical Gardens at Acadia University and the Blomidon Inn Gardens.
  • THEATRE
The Al Whittle Theatre hosts everything from music and dance performances to theatre and film.
