Halifax Itineraries
Have 24-hours, a few days or a week to spare? Here’s what to do in Halifax.
Day One
With a full day and strong legs, you can make a nice loop through the key sights in the downtown, including Spring Garden Road.
If it’s a Saturday, stop by the farmer’s market for breakfast. Then devote 1-2 hours to Citadel Hill, followed by a stroll in the Public Gardens. Now you’ll be at the top of Spring Garden Road, the perfect place for lunch or a well-earned coffee. If you’ve still got energy, the Natural History Museum makes a good late afternoon stop or work your way back to the harbour for some fish ‘n’ chips as the sun comes down. Your evening can be spent at one of the many bars around Halifax’s Historic Properties and downtown streets.
